Tree of Life

First United Methodist Church
Ogden Fellowship Hall

The Qabalistic Tree of Life comes to us from ďthe secret wisdom of IsraelĒ and was known to Jesus and the Old Testament prophets.  This mystical Tree is a map of the soul, Godís Creation, and our spiritual journey of return to God.  The Tree consists of the ten Holy Spheres of emanation and activity of the Divine Consciousness, and an invisible nondual Sphere that corresponds to the inner way of non-conceptual contemplation into which Centering Prayer leads us.

In this workshop, Kess gives a general description of the Tree of Life and focuses particularly on the Spheres of the divine indwelling and the Holy Spiritís activity of divine therapy within us, which Centering Prayer facilitates.

The Secret Wisdom of Israel is present in the Scriptures, but in a veiled form.  Thatís why itís secret.  Jacobís Ladder, for example, is actually the Qabalistic Tree of Life, which is sometimes referred to as ďThe Ladder of Lights.Ē

The Qabalistic Tree of Life was introduced in two of Kess' books, The Will of Divine Love and Centering Prayer and Rebirth in Christ on the Tree of Life (Chapter 1).
